About Me
My name is Lauren Alexander, and I am currently in my senior year studying Information Systems and Technology. I am also completing a minor in cybersecurity. I am interested in web development, technology, and learning how websites are designed and managed.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my two sons, being creative, and planning events. My goal is to continue building my technology skills and prepare for a career where I can use both my technical knowledge and creativity.
My Web Development Experience
I have some basic experience using HTML to create web pages. I have learned how to add headings, paragraphs, images, links, and styles to a website. I also have some previous programming experience with Java and Python.
I currently have limited experience with JavaScript and PHP, but I look forward to learning how they can make websites more interactive and dynamic. I also have a basic understanding of MySQL and how databases can be used to store and organize information for websites.
My Favorite Websites
Canva
I enjoy using Canva because it allows me to create graphics, invitations,
presentations, and social media content. It gives me the opportunity to be
creative while also helping me stay organized with personal and school projects.
Pinterest
Pinterest is one of my favorite websites because it provides endless inspiration
for crafts, recipes, party planning, home decorating, and DIY projects. I often
use it to gather ideas before starting a new project or planning an event.
YouTube
YouTube is one of my favorite websites because I can learn new skills, watch
technology tutorials, and find helpful videos for school assignments. It is
also a great source of entertainment and allows me to stay informed about topics
that interest me.
